ACE UP LLC is a personal & professional training company that provides workshops at a variety of locations across Michigan. We offer individuals and teams a practical program, tools, and resources that drive positive change and increase productivity. Our youth offering provides students the opportunity to tap into their natural strengths, while increasing competency in areas where they have room for growth. The program includes an age-appropriate version of the “Taking Flight with DISC” assessment and related comprehensive results report that they will use as a learning tool during the workshop. The unique “Taking Flight with DISC” model is based on the tried-and-true DISC personality styles and uses familiar bird-types to represent those styles. The intuitive nature and “stickiness” of the birds allows participants to instantly connect with styles and remember them over the long-term. Eagles (the Dominant D style), Parrots (the Interactive I style), Doves (the Supportive S style), and Owls (the Conscientious C style) are intuitive and more relatable. For example, think of an Eagle – the traits of confidence, directness, and a bottom-line, results-orientation are self-evident. Now, think of the letter D. Obviously, this does not convey these traits (or any traits for that matter). The birds help make the learning fun and engaging. Take Flight Learning has brilliantly developed age-appropriate youth curriculum that teaches students how to increase communication and strengthen relationships by understanding the various personality styles, recognizing them in others and adapting their approach accordingly, leading to more effective interactions with friends, teachers, coaches, family, and anyone else they interact with. This training builds strong communication and solid leadership skills that can be applied immediately and will last a lifetime.
